Cards on the table: as a social justice/education scholar (hence the antagonistic attitude toward the abusive relationships displayed as 'romantic' in media and pop culture, but that's another post), I'm a qualitative researcher by habit so this isn't exactly my forte. However, we do use quantitative research to supplement our findings, keeping in mind that data is useless unless it is interpreted correctly. Why is this little preface necessary? Because people on the internet with excel and a Tumblr think that they can punch in numbers into a spreadsheet, spew out data on a graph and let the computer do the work. You want me to argue mathematically (even though any seasoned researcher will tell you that nothing exists in a vacuum and purely mathematical data is useless unless it is applied within context) why people want our couple? Hey guys, just want to show some love to some of my favorite Leighton Meester fansites online. Without the lovely ladies who run these sites, this community wouldn't be so up-to-date with high quality pictures all the time. There are a lot of pictures I don't post, but they'll always be up at any of these. I've been visiting them for over three years now :):)

The three actresses have collaborated in the last charity campaign of BVLGARI.

The ring, part of the new initiative by BVLGARI, the luxurious Italian jewelry, has been elaborated by the humanitarian organization Save the Children and it’s objective is to raise, starting in the month of October, more than 6 million Euros, destined to improve the quality of education for the neediest children of the world.

And to show the importance of the cause, some of the most well-known faces of film didn’t hesitate to lend their images to the cause, photographed by famous photographer Fabrizio Ferri. Celebrities like Gossip Girl, Leighton Meester, the eternal Italian beauty Isabella Rossellini, and the only Spaniard in the project, actress Maribel Verdu. All of them in black wearing the new ring in their hands with dark red background, and each of them displaying their own distinct personality.

The Beauty Book is a hard cover coffee table book with images of your favorite Celebrities, Musicians and Top models, all the monies raised from sales will go to Brain Cancer via the Charity called SNOG, this charitable organization is non-profit and relies on donations and fund raising, I know this because I lost a dear friend Natalie Sattler to brain cancer last September 2008, she was 35 years old.

SNOG is a charitable organisation, which aims to improve the management of brain tumors through targeted research, information and constant scrutiny of treatment options. The group supports the efforts of a multidisciplinary team of Doctors including Neurosurgeons, Oncologists and Pathologists. SNOG is co-ordinating research into various radiation and drug protocols used in advance treatments of maglignant tumors. The Group is involved inresearch projects that span the epidemiology, diagnostic images, surgical approached, tumor biology and drug trials.

The Beauty Book is for awareness and to raise money to help support people with this awful disease. 17,000 Americans and 2000 Australians are diagnosed with Brain tumors every year, 280,000 Worldwide. Brain Cancer is the leading cause in cancer-related death’s in patients younger than age 35.
